North Kent 1 Wind
North Kent 1 Wind is a 100 MW project located in the Municipality of Chatham-Kent in Ontario. It is a joint venture between Samsung Renewable Energy Inc. and Pattern Energy, including equity partnerships with the Municipality of Chatham Kent, and Walpole Island First Nation. The wind turbine blades will be manufactured by Siemens in Tillsonburg, Ontario and the towers will be manufactured by CS Wind in Windsor, Ontario. The project consists of 34 3.2 MW Siemens Energy wind turbines.
The North Kent 1 project began construction in the second quarter of 2017 and is currently under construction, we are working towards commercial operation in the first quarter of 2018.
